Welcome to my personal website!
About Me
I am a Kingston University graduate who just finished the UCL Information Security master’s course. I am a self-motivated and reliable worker with good organisation skills. I enjoy learning and improving my skills. I like coding, hacking, penetration testing and learning new things related to the world of tech and cyber security. Outside of academia, in my free time, I have always watched online courses and I completed challenges online such as Vulnhub machines, Hack The Box, and Tryhackme to increase my knowledge on these topics. Also, I enjoy taking part in CTFs. Regarding certifications, I am EJPT certified and am studying the “RED TEAM Operator: Malware Development Essential Course” course by Sektor7, and I aim to get OSCP in 2023.
Regarding my working experiences, in the last few years, I have developed a few WordPress websites for multiple companies. This experience improved my abilities such as time management skills because I had to focus on both work and my studies. I can code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python. I know also how to use graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. In addition to this, I know how to use Office and its suite of products such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. I also worked for one year as a Security researcher, specialising particularly in phishing and web security, and as a security consultant. Additionally, I have been very active during my years in academia, covering volunteering positions, such as Event Manager for the Kingston University Cyber Security Society, Social Media Manager for the UCL Italian Society, Student mentor at Kingston University and teaching Ethical Hacking seminars at UCL to younger students.
Philosophy
Nowadays, many of the daily tasks we perform involve computers giving them a key role in our society. But as technology plays a major role in our society, the security of these systems is becoming an important area of concern. It is vital that computerised infrastructure can protect itself from hackers and criminals. I feel that going into Cyber Security will give me the possibility to improve these systems and the lives of people, as in the digital world nothing is 100% secure; giving me also the chance to make the life of black-hat hackers and cyber criminals more difficult. In the future, I hope to work in the cyber security field, in particular, I would like to be a security analyst or to become part of a red team or purple team as I enjoy the offensive side of cyber security, as well as the defensive/forensic side of it. I also would like to work with web apps and analyse/test the security features of websites and web applications as I have been a web developer and I have designed some websites in the past.
